3 Switches riddle

This is a riddle that I will never forget about…
“There are three light bulbs in a room, and three light switches outside the room. You are outside, and want to match up which switch goes with which light bulb. You can only travel into the room once, and cannot come back in again. You can do anything you want upon entering the room. How can you set the situation so that you will know which switch goes with which light bulb?”
The answer? Think about it! (or google it 
)
turn the first switch for a few minutes. Then turn it off and turn on the second switch. Enter the first room. If the light bulb is on, then it is the second switch. If it off, check if it is hot. If true then it is the first switch. If not, then it is the third switch. And so on.

Altough your answer is for the 1 light bulb version of the riddle. But it is just a detail, the main ideia is the same.
